About

My name is Vinay Huddar. I have been an Avionics Engineer at Honeywell for most part of my career. I did my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Master's in Avionics. In the last year and a half I have tried my hand at enterpreneurship before I found my calling in Data Science.

I am a continuous learner, always fascinated by new technologies. I have been exploring the exciting and challenging field of Data Science for the past several months. I was awed by the breadth of knowledge and skills that it demands from its practitioners. I am up for the challenge and have managed to make some headway. This blog is my effort at putting forward my perspective of the various facets of Data Science.

Having worked on real time systems for a long time developing safety critical Avionics systems, I am inclined to study the platform level architecture of distributed and parallel computing frameworks. As I am beginning to go through the approaches adopted by Databricks and H2O teams in implementing highly parallel and efficient implementations of Data Analytics and Machine Learning algorithms I am hoping that my research experience in Multicore Processors, that lead to a patent with myself as the primary contributor, will be very helpful.
